Match#3 - Queen's College 27-06-08

Queen's College is a private co-ed school in Taunton somerset. Taunton is also home to the Somerset County cricket ground, where South Africa are playing a warm-up match starting on Sunday 29th - we mised them by two days! I am sure the boys would have loved to give the seniors a few pointers about playing in England....

This was the match we were most worried about - their openers had previously made a partnership of over 200 runs...

The match was delayed by rain for an hour, so it was reduced to 45 overs each way. The rain did not stay away but did not stop play - luckily.
Queen's College batted first and scored 191 all out in the 45th over. Their no's 9 and 10 scored 84 runs between them, if they had not they would realy have been in trouble.
KHS Bowling:
B Muir - 9 - 3 - 2 - 14
S Hill - 9 - 1 - 1 - 41
B Moodley - 5 - 0 - 0 - 26
C Govender - 8 - 1 - 4 - 27
M Mendonides - 9 - 1 - 2 - 37
A Kok - 3 - 0 - 0 - 28
P Callidin - 2 - 0 - 1 - 14

Kloof batted second and made 181/9 in 45 overs. This was a great finish and well done to the boys, even though we lost. The team spirit was lifted by the nail-biting finish!

The scores below are not necessarily correct on an individual basis, the scoring was done by the hosts and they mixed some of the batsmen up.
